The very first piece of art I ever purchased as a young adult was a picture of a plump little boy and his dog, staring up in anticipation to a beautiful double crust pie cooling on the kitchen counter. You could almost smell the aromas of that pie and envision to love used to create it. It just spoke to me… When I create a pie, it’s not just another bake, but an act of love and nostalgia bringing me back to rolling out the dough with my mother when I was a kid, picking the best cherries and marion berries in my hometown in Oregon to make the most delicious pies imaginable. There is no dessert more comforting than a slice of pie and a pie should be just that… comforting and easy! High quality ingredients, fresh (local if possible) fruits and an abundance of love is really all you need to create the flakiest, butteriest, most delicious pie imaginable.
